A line graph shows year-over-year changes in the money supplies of the United States and Japan, starting 50 months before money-supply troughs and continuing for 50 moths after the troughs. The U.S. trough occurred in March 2010, while the Japanese trough occurred in April 1991.   In the U.S., year-over-year money-supply growth ranged from a peak of roughly 10 percent to a low of about 2 percent. In Japan, it ranged from a peak of roughly 13 percent to a lot of about negative 1 percent.  The chart also shows year-over-year money supply growth for China since 2020. It peaked at roughly 13 percent and reached a trough of about 6 percent in July 2024.
